Job description
The Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise network infrastructure across corporate offices, terminals, and data center environments. This role ensures reliable, secure, and efficient network operations and works closely with Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, and Support teams. The position requires hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks, with Cisco experience strongly preferred., * Administer, manage, and support enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks across corporate, terminal, and data center environments
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
- Support and maintain Cisco-based network environments
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance problems across multiple locations
- Assist with network upgrades, infrastructure refresh initiatives, and new site deployments
- Implement and support network security best practices in coordination with cybersecurity teams
- Participate in incident response related to network outages and security events
- Travel to company locations as needed to support network operations, deployments, or project work
- Provide after-hours, weekend, and on-call support as required for maintenance or incident response
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards
- Work with vendors, carriers, and service providers to support circuits and network services
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN management?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in a production environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an IT team
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and technologies
- Familiarity with firewall platforms and network security concepts
- Experience supporting multi-site or geographically distributed networks
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) preferred but not required
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of formal education
