Job description

Join our innovative team in Albany, NY as a GIS Project Manager and drive impactful geospatial projects using the latest ESRI ArcGIS technologies. This role offers hands-on experience managing enterprise GIS platforms, collaborating with web development teams, and delivering advanced mapping solutions to support organizational goals.   • Oversee all phases of GIS project lifecycles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Create, edit, and maintain complex geospatial datasets and custom maps
  • Manage and maintain the CLIENT Enterprise GIS platform, providing technical support to staff
  • Administer ArcGIS Online (AGOL) environments, including data and map publishing
  • Collaborate with web developers to publish interactive maps to organizational websites
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from enterprise databases
  • Develop Python scripts to automate and streamline GIS processes
  • Ensure data and maps meet web accessibility standards

Requirements

1-4 years of hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Professional, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise

  • Proficiency in creating, editing, and publishing geospatial data and maps

  • Experience working with US Census Bureau data sources

  • Strong Python scripting abilities for ArcGIS process automation

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and database management

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or related field Preferred Skills:

  • GIS Professional (GISP) certification

  • ESRI ArcGIS Professional Certification

  • Experience with web accessibility standards for GIS applications

  • Advanced knowledge of Azure-based virtual environments
