Fabric Structure Development Engineer

• Create detailed drawings and 3D smart models using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for new and existing products.
• Develop cutting patterns for intricate assemblies using AutoCAD, MPanel, and related software.
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Purchasing to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Own and organize part numbers, descriptions, and manufacturing routings across parts and assemblies.
• Ensure designs comply with IBC 2024, ASCE 7-22, NFPA 701, and associated building and fire standards.
• Champion design-for-manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Partner with Purchasing to source and qualify new materials.
• Research, draft, and update product specifications based on customer needs, including on-site visits and blueprint reviews.
• Manage projects with external vendors, engineers, customers, and sales representatives to hit milestones.
• Drive timely task management to accomplish departmental and company goals.
