In this role as a Quality Assurance Technician, you will engage your passion for food safety to provide front-line support to manufacturing. You will be responsible for supporting operations to ensure alignment with all policies and practices in the Kellanova Food Safety Plan. This position is located on-site at our Rome, GA, Plant, where you will act as the go-to resource for ensuring the quality and food safety of our core products. This will be a third shift position, working 5:00 pm-5:00, having every other weekend off and requires flexibility with overtime as needed. The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $23.30 up to $28.96 based on qualifications. You will join a highly engaged team that supports an environment of learning and growth. - Quality Control - Provide on-shift guidance and support for all aspects of quality and food safety, including validation of Certificate of Analyses (COA) for all incoming raw materials, response to Food Safety events, review, and verification of Critical Control Points (CCP), execution of the environmental monitoring program, and inspection of all processes prior to start-up.
- Audit Ready & Safety Driven - Conduct plant food safety and security audits, continually looking for food safety hazards or places to improve the plant and process. Conduct daily product evaluation and employee training in food safety, HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs. Communicate deficiencies and drive follow-up.
- Cross-Functional Support - Support plant projects, including new equipment and new products. Lead continuous improvement projects and take ownership of critical pre-requisite programs as an Internal Auditor.
- Detail Oriented - Manage and communicate product holds to front-line leaders, test and disposition holds based on results. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and related work experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and detailed information
