Job description

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our team supporting mission-critical systems in a classified environment. This role involves provisioning, maintaining, and securing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in support of government programs. The ideal candidate brings strong Linux administration skills and an active TS/SCI clearance., Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, test, integration, and production environments -Perform full lifecycle management of Linux systems: installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning -Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with security policies -Support Linux deployments leveraging VMware and other virtualization platforms -Implement system hardening in accordance with DISA STIGs and government security frameworks -Perform system monitoring, log analysis, capacity planning, and performance tuning -Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues on Linux-based systems -Maintain backups, logs, and checklists to verify system operation and confirm compliance with classification requirements -Document system configurations, procedures, and architecture -Participate in system design, integration, testing, and security accreditation efforts -Respond to and remediate security vulnerabilities and audit findings

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance -3+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator -Strong proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration -Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl) for automation -Knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls -Experience with system monitoring tools and log management -Understanding of security compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs) -DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)

Security Requirements Must hold an active U.S. Government Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
