Job description
The following tasks and functions are expected of the Business Consultant. Client Support Services: At ACUMEN Group we support customers by assisting with Windows, Linux, and database issues.
- Handle phone support issues some of which could be after hours.
- Log issues, converse with the customer in a positive and professional manner, test the issue and necessary resolution
- Work issues through to closure and respond to all client calls within one day to diagnose or resolve their issue
Cloud Management: ACUMEN Group is migrating many services to the cloud. While initially there is not a hard requirement for a skill set deep in AWS, We are looking for someone that is willing and able to learn AWS and help to support and advise the team.
- Help to manage our serverless infrastructure in the AWS cloud
- Advise programming and implementation teams on best practices related to our AWS cloud.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Help to manage ACUMEN's internal network and computing infrastructure which includes VMWare, IBM Hardware including servers and SAN, Sonicwall, and Barracuda backup to name a few.
- Enter and maintain accurate up-to-date time entry for overall accountability.
- Ability to be a self-manage and a willingness to make decisions.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Database management (Progress OpenEdge, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc…)
- Understanding of Linux (CentOS or Redhat)
- Knowledge of Windows Server and associated services (DNS, DHCP, AD, etc…)
- Experience with VMWare and virtualization concepts
- Bachelors Degree or greater
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Ability to work well and lead difficult people
- Willingness to follow written procedures and document new procedures
- Understanding of hardware including Bare-Metal, Dissimilar Hardware and Physical-to-Virtual migration and image recovery
