Job description

This role is for an experienced, mid-level web application and/or API services developer. The applicant's resume should articulate the ability to develop and use complex concepts & processes, conduct root cause analysis, and develop technical solutions to problems while prioritizing multiple tasks. Candidates should have multiple years of experience as an individual contributor, and may have experience leading teams of junior-level developers. Well qualified candidates will have experience evaluating and recommending new technology and improving processes based upon cost, risk, and mission needs. The selected individual will be assigned to a scrum team within the development organization supporting numerous activities including:

  • Working at the tactical level, defining tasks and developing software programs
  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to critical mission issues
  • Applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
  • Correcting program errors, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
  • Leading and mentoring junior developers on the team and within Trinity
  • Reviewing code developed by other teammates, and providing professional and actionable feedback
  • Ensuring software standards are defined and met

Requirements

  • Meet minimum education and experience requirements:
  • Master's Degree with 4 years experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years experience
  • Associates with 8 years of experience
  • HS Diploma with 10 years experience
  • Experience working with a Scrum Master or Project Coordinator
  • Java and Spring development experience
  • DBMS and ORM (e.g. Hibernate) experience
  • Flexibility in supporting dynamic user needs
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience in COTS/FOSS integration and support
  • Experience with multiple operating system environments including LINUX and Windows
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies
  • Ability to maintain TS/SCI clearance with FSP, * Large scale software development experience: develop/modify/troubleshoot Java code
  • Agile development experience
  • UNIX/LINUX operating Systems,
  • Experience with HTML, Selenium, JavaScript, Webservices
  • Microservices leveraging REST, JSON, and/or XML
  • Deployment architectures including Continuous Integration Pipeline build concepts leveraging: Docker, Git / JIRA, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Conductor, Kafka/Zookeeper, Consul, CMDB
  • Big data technologies to include Data Ingest (JSON, Kafka, Microservices, Elastic Search), Analytics (HIVE, SPARK, R, PIG, OOZIE workflows), Elasticsearch, Hadoop (HIVE data, OOZIE, Spark, PIG, IMPALA, HUE), COTS Integration (Knowi, MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL RDS, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Zookeeper, Consul, HADOOP/HDFS), Docker and Chef)
  • CISSP Certification, Requires an active Top Secret security clearance with FSP upon hire and must meet SCI eligibility. Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within the customer's timeline after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
