Principal Systems Security Engineer (Cyber Engineer)

We're looking for a Principal Systems Security Engineer (Cyber Engineer) who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role supports database operations, system sustainment, and data reliability for secure, mission-critical environments.

In this role, you'll contribute across the engineering lifecycle-from design and development through integration, testing, production support, and sustainment.

What You'll Do:

• Support database operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Respond to database-related work requests and integration needs
• Maintain schema, design, and support documentation
• Partner with system maintainers and engineering teams
• Help improve reliability, performance, and operational readiness

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience in System Security Engineering and/or Cybersecurity Engineering
• Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) **
• Managerial or leadership experience
• virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS. host
• Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools familiarity with splunk is preferred
