Manufacturing Systems Data Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement performant software solutions that interface with structured data formats and 3D printing workflows. You'll work closely with our engineering team to develop libraries, tools, and integrations that support high-fidelity data capture, analysis, and visualization of LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) processes., * Develop and maintain tooling around the 3MF file format, including reading, writing, post-processing, and data analysis

• Design and publish cross-platform libraries (.dll, .so) for consistent interaction with structured file types (e.g., XML, JSON)
• Build performant, production-ready software solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and visualization
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to integrate high-speed machine data into usable formats
• Write clear documentation and support internal and external developers using your tools

Do you have experience in C++?, * 3+ years of professional software development experience

• Proficiency in C++ or C#; working knowledge of Python, Rust, and JavaScript is a plus
• Experience working with structured data formats (e.g., XML, JSON, or similar)
• Strong understanding of software performance optimization strategy, memory management, and modular architecture
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment

Bonus Skills

• Experience with 3D geometry libraries or visualization frameworks (e.g., OpenGL, Three.js, VTK)
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing
• Familiarity with manufacturing software platforms such as ERP, MES, or PLM systems
• Exposure to PLC systems and an understanding of how they interface with software tools
• Familiarity with 3D printing workflows, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing data pipelines is highly desirable
