DataVox is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our Mid-Market team in Houston, TX. This is a full-time, onsite position that plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade network solutions for multiple clients.

What You'll Do
As a Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planning, implementation, and support of LAN/WAN and wireless technologies across a diverse client base., * Plan, implement, and support LAN/WAN and wireless network solutions for new and existing clients
- Serve as the primary engineer for diagnosing, triaging, and resolving network incidents
- Provide exceptional customer support and technical leadership
- Assist with network-related projects and service incidents
- Communicate with vendors regarding network requirements and troubleshooting
- Document, track, and monitor network issues to ensure timely resolution
- Perform proactive maintenance and maintain accurate network documentation
- Stay current on emerging technologies, processes, and systems
- Maintain required technical certifications for DataVox
- Participate in after-hours work as needed for upgrades and emergency network support
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, * 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, preferably with a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
- Experience supporting enterprise-grade network infrastructure
- Voice and telephony experience is a plus
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals and services (DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, Syslog)
- VPN technologies (Site-to-Site, Remote Access, PPTP, Client VPN)
- RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication
- Packet capture analysis and sniffer trace interpretation
- Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Multicast
- WAN technologies: MetroE, VPLS, PTP links, MPLS
- QoS technologies (L2/L3 QoS, LLQ, CBWFQ, Policing, Traffic Shaping)
- Working knowledge of server, endpoint, and telephony technologies
- Ability to create technical documentation using Microsoft Visio

- Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply them in client environments, This role includes physical demands such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and carrying equipment. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
- Perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Drive and work in various onsite client environments
