Cloud Software Engineer - Las Vegas, NV

Software Engineer - VeriPic makes software for Law Enforcement. We are a well-established vendor and have been producing this system since 1998. You will be working on our cloud base SaaS software platform.

You will be expected to join our existing team maintaining and adding features to our Digital Evidence Management® platform. Our platform runs on Microsoft Azure, iOS on iPhones and iPads, and Android devices. The company also offers products for the construction, medical and manufacturing industries.

The company also maintains a blockchain product that was written in Go Lang.

VeriPic also operates 3 data centers in Ohio that have been converted for AI operations.

The software suites are sold on a SaaS (Software as a Service) basis which means customers either pay annually, quarterly, or monthly.

Duties:

· Write software using one or more of these languages C, C++, C#, Go, Python, Node.js, ASP .Net for the VeriPic suite of products.

· Participating in product demos as an applications engineer.

· Assist Customer Service in deployments of our platform.

· Help maintain internal computer networks and systems

· Help us maintain multiple data centers in Ohio operated in Ohio (traveling about 4 times a year is required for these duties)

· This is a full-time position.

Do you have experience in Python?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, · Understanding of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services

· Knowledge of C, C++ and Go Lang, Python

· Knowledge of Microsoft's IDE

· Experience with at least one modern framework (e.g. React, Svelte, Vue, Angular)

· Full-stack development experience including API design, data modeling, authentication / authorization

· We are a CJIS compliant company. Suitable candidates must pass government background checks.

Software Skills Test

There will be a software coding test as part of your interview. You will be expected to write some software in real time as the interviewers evaluate your performance. Apply for this job only if you are able to pass the test.

Work Authorization Requirement

This role involves access to sensitive law enforcement technology and data subject to U.S. export control regulations. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. law and be able to pass a CJIS background check.

Desirable Qualifications:

· 4 Year Degree

· Minimum 2 years' experience writing commercial software

· Knowledge of Video formats such as MP4

· Knowledge of Photo formats such as Jpeg, TIFF, GIF, PNG, Camera Raw, NEF, * Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Azure or AWS: 2 years (Required)

Compensation:

Your target pay is expected to be a base of $70,000 per year with a bonus. The value of the bonus can be up to 70% of what you get paid for your base depending on the company's overall performance based on your contributions to the performance of the company itself.
