Job description
As an IT Service Technician System Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of our sophisticated hardware and software solutions as well as virtual platforms - both in the office and directly at the customer's premises. You will ensure that the work is documented and take on troubleshooting and maintenance appointments on site., * Implementation of 2nd level support in direct customer contact
- Carrying out functional and performance tests
- Fault diagnosis/analysis and troubleshooting for hardware, software and network components; also virtualized
- Technical support for our customer on site
- Working on solutions in the field of telecommunications monitoring in high-security data centers
- Provide ideas for our development department from your work experience
- Responsibility for the reference and test systems used
- Documentation of faults, solutions and IT processes
- Participation in the on-call service
- Factory and on-site acceptance of systems
Requirements
- Completed studies (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering) or equivalent technical training and relevant professional experience in service
- Sound knowledge and confidence in dealing with Unix-based operating systems, e.g. Red Hat, Rocky Linux, CentOS, AIX
- Sound knowledge of network technology, network storage, network security and network protocol analysis
- Sound knowledge of standardized transmission technologies and protocols in modern telecommunications and data networks
- NetApp (advantageous)
- Windows Server 2019 or newer - (an advantage)
- Knowledge of PVE, VMWare and/or Citrix (an advantage)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or Oracle) desirable
- Customer and service-oriented action
- Structured, careful and independent work
- Willingness to undergo continuous further training
- German language skills at C2 level and good written and spoken English skills
- Class B driver's license
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
