Job description
Veracity Systems is looking for a Support, Test & Deployment Engineer to join the team behind ViewScape, our integrated command and control platform, along with Veracity's wider range of storage and display products.
This is a varied technical role suited to someone with a strong IT or systems background who enjoys problem solving and wants to develop specialist knowledge in integrated control-room and security systems.
You'll work across software testing, customer support, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), integration work and system deployment, supporting both internal teams and live customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing new ViewScape software releases before deployment
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities
- Investigating software, integration and customer-reported issues
- Working with developers to recreate faults and verify fixes
- Supporting customers and integrators remotely and on site
- Assisting with system configuration, commissioning and upgrades
- Working with Windows Server, SQL, virtual machines and IP networks
- Testing integrations with CCTV, VMS, access control and alarm systems
- Producing support notes, test records and technical documentation
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Good knowledge of IT systems and IP networking
- Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop/server environments
- Logical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK
Desirable Experience
- Software or release testing
- SQL Server or virtualisation platforms
- CCTV, VMS, PSIM or integrated security systems
- Technical support for software or networked systems
