Job description
We are looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to support a modern core banking platform responsible for payments, account services, transactional data, regulatory reporting and Real Time event streaming
You will help design, build and maintain the tools, pipelines and processes that enable engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable and high quality software at pace, * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Git, Nexus, SonarQube, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Support the deployment and operation of microservices across private and public cloud environments
- Champion DevOps best practices, including Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and secure delivery
- Help improve deployment processes, including modern CI/CD tooling and blue-green deployment approaches
- Support monitoring, alerting, and incident response to maintain high availability and reliability
- Automate manual processes, identify delivery bottlenecks, and share knowledge across engineering teams
- Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and operations teams
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with GCP is a must
- Strong engineering background with a deep understanding of DevOps practices, processes, and tools
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience with Git, including branching strategies and code review practices
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and SRE concepts
- Exposure to tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jenkins, Harness, Backstage, Nexus, SonarQube
- Experience with test automation tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium, or Postman
- Knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms, especially Kafka
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio
- Understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and compliance requirements
- Experience working in large-scale, regulated environments, preferably financial services
- Curious, adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Backstage or Internal Developer Portals
- Experience with Harness migrations or modern CI/CD tooling
- Experience with blue-green deployments
- Wider knowledge of DevOps tools and emerging technologies
- Experience supporting secure, high-availability banking or transactional platforms
