Senior API/Python Developer

Role Title: Senior API/Python developer Location: London- 2 days onsite Duration: 30/04/2027 Rate: £447 per day

Role Description: Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role, working within Agile frameworks and associated architectures, design, coding languages and testing & deployment tools, including the following

o Python o Angular 6 o Java/JavaScript/JSON o Ci/Cd pipeline build & deployment tools eg Bamboo o Micro services & APIs o Cloud experience (AWS & Azure) o API integration experience, REST preferred o Understanding of event driven architecture. o Different AWS deployment methods eg native EC2, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (JVM) & Docker Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment Experience of SQL database development, SSIS and cloud deployment eg RDS in AWS Knowledge of containerised deployments and optimisation techniques & tools eg Docker, Fargate, Kubernetes Experience of working with wider project teams including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts and Testers Experience of producing technical support documentation Experience of writing technical specifications/User Stories Experience of working within the full development life cycle ie development, unit testing and release management Experience of source code repositories, code branching and version control systems eg GIT and TFS Resourcefulness, attention to detail and troubleshooting aptitude BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Key Performance Indicators Delivery of high quality, fully tested software changes within agreed Sprints Recognised as a technical authority within the development team A high level of accuracy for estimating stories and tasks Minimal coding errors found during SIT & UAT Smooth transition of changes from development to production Compliance with the organisation's control policies and procedures
