Job description
The Junior Network Administrator, Installation, is expected to be able to accomplish the following:
- Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems.
- Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks .
- Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLR requirements .
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.
- Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution.
- Trains users, maintains , creates and deletes user accounts.
- Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms.
- Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards.
- Enforces network security procedures.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- HS, 6-8 years of relevant experience; BS, 0-2 years
- Network+ or Security+
- One of the following network certifications:
- CCNA (Enterprise or Security for legacy environments)
- Juniper JNCIA
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCN P ) a plus
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Administrator
- CompTIA Server+
- VMware VCTA
- ITIL® 4 Foundation
- Cisco Certified Technician (CCT)
- BICSI Installer 1
- CompTIA Linux+
- Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT)
- Certified Wireless Technician (CWTS), While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds.
The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
