The Technology Operations Analyst 4 - Support Engineer plays a critical role in production support and observability for consumer-facing applications. This position operates at the intersection of business, operations, and engineering teams to ensure system stability and minimize customer impact. The engineer supports Mission Control operations, monitors application health, analyzes incidents, and enables observability improvements across platforms in a financial services environment., * Provide Level 2 production support for consumer technology platforms and transaction systems.
- Monitor and analyze alerts, logs, and performance data using Splunk and AppDynamics to identify root causes and customer impact during incidents.
- Communicate technical findings in business-friendly language to stakeholders, acting as a liaison between business, operations, and engineering teams.
- Support Mission Control operations, including the coordination of escalations to engineering teams.
- Manage incidents, requests, and follow-ups using tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- Support the onboarding of applications into observability tools and platforms.
- Assist in building and improving monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding solutions.
- Maintain accountability for incident resolution and proactive communication.
- Develop an understanding of system dependencies, including batch processes and transaction flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Technology Operations or production support experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Splunk for logging, monitoring, and diagnostics.
- Experience with AppDynamics or similar Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.
- Proven ability to analyze alerts, logs, and system behaviors to determine root cause and customer impact.
- Experience supporting production environments in regulated or financial services organizations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business impact.
- Familiarity with incident management tools (ServiceNow) and work tracking tools (Jira).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with Autosys batch scheduling.
- Basic experience with databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, or MongoDB.
- Exposure to cloud environments and distributed systems.
- Understanding of automation practices within production support environments.
- Experience supporting batch-heavy or transaction-based consumer platforms.
Benefits & conditions
The pay rate for this position is between $53.00 and $57.00 per hour.
