Job description
Gridiron IT is seeking a ICAM Systems Administrator to support the Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) team under the NASA NCAPS Program. This role system administration, engineering, and operational support for NASA s Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities.
Qualifications 75% System Engineering and Administration (Primary Responsibilities)
- Perform vendor software installation and upgrades.
- Manage server software and operating system environments.
- Conduct custom configuration of ICAM-related applications and services.
- Test end to end ICAM services for performance and functionality.
- Monitor operational stability across integrated ICAM systems.
- Provide Tier 2 Technical Operational Support for distributed administrators across NASA Centers.
- Support Windows and Linux environments, including Windows IIS hosted applications.
- Troubleshoot Apache/Tomcat instances.
- Provide Tier 2/3 customer support and participate in 24x7 incident/event response rotation.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain SolarWinds alerts.
- Monitor and enhance Splunk dashboards and alerts (query development desired).
- Maintain NED/NCAD service accounts.
- Maintain SSL certificates in service trust stores.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Participate in ICAM scrums and service related meetings.
- Maintain Operational Work Instructions (OWIs) and support contingency plan reviews.
- Research and address security vulnerabilities.
- Deploy custom code migrations (IdMAX, NAMS, Container, etc.).
- Maintain OpenShift deployments and configurations utilizing Docker, InteliJ, etc
- Coordinate technical issues with NCAPS Engineering and ICAM DBAs.
- Serve as Workflow Maintainer for system?related workflows.
- Document system configurations, mappings, processes, and records.
- Conduct in?depth testing for new or modified systems.
- Ensure high availability and proactively identify infrastructure issues.
- Provide technical communication in user friendly language.
- Contribute effectively in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
25% TFTI Issuance Support at JSC RSA Token Issuance & Credential Management
- Manage RSA SecurID token distribution through NASA s secure locker systems and center postal services.
- Provide in?person locker support at JSC on?site one day per week.
- Coordinate remote token distribution activities.
- Verify user identity during token issuance and maintain strict chain?of?custody procedures.
Requirements

Bachelors and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of experience

Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems.

Experience with IIS?hosted applications.

Experience troubleshooting Apache/Tomcat.

Experience with Tier 2/3 support and 24x7 availability for incidents.

Ability to escalate with ICAM Service Leads and Application Admins.

SolarWinds monitoring expertise.

Benefits & conditions
Salary Range $40-45/hr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
