Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a REMOTE Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer for a contract assignment with one of our premier University clients in Maryland., The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer will support the continued growth of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solution. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to, gathering requirements, configure/build/customize and support the Salesforce Marketing Cloud application while guiding the overall direction of our Marketing Cloud instance. This role will focus on the development of email communications leveraging Content Builders tool, HTML and CSS where necessary in partnership with our CRM team., Partner with Product Owner and CRM stakeholders to review business requirements and design/develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions to support communication objectives Design, build, test, and deploy email campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Develop and support nurture campaigns and customer journeys using Journey Builder Create and maintain responsive email templates leveraging HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and Content Builder Build and maintain landing pages, microsites, forms, and automated marketing campaigns Segment customer and prospect databases to support targeted campaigns and marketing initiatives Perform email QA testing to validate rendering, functionality, and deliverability across devices and platforms Support SFMC data hygiene, imports, automation workflows, and system maintenance activities Develop dashboards, reporting, and campaign performance analytics to drive optimization and business insights Apply tracking and monitoring across marketing automation tactics and campaigns Support Salesforce and Marketing Cloud integrations, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements Document technical solutions, architecture decisions, and campaign configurations Assist with monthly feature releases and platform enhancements Provide recommendations regarding customer journey optimization, deliverability, and marketing automation best practices

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud / ExactTarget experience Strong experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions Experience creating automated/drip marketing campaigns and triggered email communications Strong experience developing responsive email templates using HTML, CSS, and AMPscript Experience performing audience segmentation and working with large marketing data sets Hands-on experience with Automation Studio activities including imports, queries, filters, extracts, transfers, and triggered sends Understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, CAN-SPAM compliance, and campaign optimization Experience with email QA/testing tools such as Litmus and Return Path Experience supporting end users, gathering requirements, and documenting solutions Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Experience with Google Analytics and marketing performance reporting Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Preferred Skills: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant certification Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification Experience with SQL queries and API integrations Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, and front-end web development Experience with landing pages and microsites Adobe Creative Suite experience Prior UMor USM experience Bachelor's Degree
