Join our dynamic team as a Principal Configuration Analyst, where you will lead the charge in optimizing and governing our SAP Sales and Distribution (SD/OTC) environment and SAP Document Reporting and Compliance (DRC) within an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting our globally distributed sales, distribution, and statutory compliance operations.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for designing, stabilizing, and optimizing end-to-end order processing, billing, and statutory document reporting. You will ensure compliant electronic invoicing, local government reporting, and audit readiness across various countries. As a bridge between Commercial Operations, Finance, Tax, Compliance, Integration, and IT Architecture, you will align SAP OTC and DRC solutions with regulatory mandates and long-term enterprise architecture standards.
Essential Duties
- SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC / SD) - Business Execution & Governance
- Own and enhance SAP S/4HANA OTC configuration for order management, pricing, billing, and downstream financial integration.
- Support standardized global OTC processes across sales, distribution, intercompany, and customer fulfillment scenarios.
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Finance, and Customer Operations to resolve order and billing execution issues.
- Validate OTC processes against business, financial, and regulatory requirements, recommending improvements.
- SAP Document Reporting and Compliance (DRC) - Statutory & Local Government Reporting
- Design, configure, and support SAP DRC to meet complex local government reporting and statutory requirements.
- Support electronic invoicing, legal numbering, document clearance, and statutory reporting.
- Partner with internal tax authorities to support changes to statutory mandates, translating requirements into sustainable SAP DRC solutions.
- Act as a DRC subject-matter expert during audits and regulatory inquiries.
- OTC & DRC Cross-Domain Dependencies
- Govern the dependency between OTC billing processes and DRC statutory document generation.
- Ensure data consistency across pricing, tax determination, billing, and statutory reporting artifacts.
- Coordinate with Finance, Tax, Integration teams, and external partners to maintain compliant order-to-report execution.
- Solution Design, Validation, and Delivery
- Lead functional analysis and solution design within SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud constraints.
- Develop and execute test strategies, scenarios, and scripts supporting validation for OTC and statutory reporting processes.
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including functional specifications and architectural decisions.
- Serve as a functional lead for OTC and DRC enhancements and optimization initiatives.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Facilitate global design workshops with stakeholders and external vendors.
- Mentor analysts and contribute to global SAP OTC and DRC configuration standards.
- Participate in shared on-call and critical incident response to support business continuity.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an enterprise logistics mindset.
- Ability to balance Private Cloud constraints, partner operating models, and business requirements.
- Clear communicator capable of aligning SAP, business, and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence outcomes across organizational and vendor boundaries., * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience., * 10 years of SAP logistics experience, including deep hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA supporting the SAP SD module.
- Experience delivering solutions within SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE) constraints.
- Experience contributing to or leading SAP transformation, optimization, or global template initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery models.
- Proficient in writing user and functional requirements and associated test cases to support validation.
- Background in regulated manufacturing or distribution environments (medical device, life sciences, or similar)., * Experience with multi-leg, multi-modal, and cross-border transportation scenarios.
- Carrier collaboration and freight tendering automation.
- High-volume 3PL integration landscapes.
- Familiarity with integrated processes with external 3PL warehouses.
- Understanding of international trade, export controls, and compliance-adjacent transportation processes.

Benefits & conditions
Target Pay Range: $126,600.00 to $158,300.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Target Bonus on Base: 10.0%
