Job description
An Application Architect is sought to develop, document, and advance the monitoring strategy for critical banking applications. This senior role involves participating in the development and implementation of monitoring solutions that are central to business information flows and system architecture. The position requires providing integrated systems planning and recommending technologies to enhance current systems, aligning with the application production support monitoring strategy., * Participate in the development and implementation of monitoring strategy and solutions.
- Provide integrated systems planning and recommend new or different technologies.
- Roll out the strategic monitoring tool across banking applications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for monitoring tools that are part of the global strategy.
- Set up monitoring for applications on cloud and container infrastructures.
- Host demonstrations, overviews, and training sessions for monitoring tools to encourage adoption.
- Liaise with application production support teams in planning and scheduling deployments.
- Consult with application teams to assist in the configuration of monitoring events and dashboards.
- Prepare reports on monitoring tool adoption and other relevant metrics.
- Participate in global discussions on the evolution of the global monitoring strategy.
Requirements
Education: A four-year college degree is required., * 5+ years in a production systems architecting or support role.
- 2+ years of development or architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications.
- Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Tivoli, Splunk, Sitescope, and Catchpoint.
- Familiarity with supporting monitoring on cloud and container infrastructure.
- Experience in application and network performance and availability monitoring.
- Experience in N-Tier Architecture supporting products like Webserver, Middleware, and Database.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, and shell scripts.
- Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET).
- Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the development or support of banking applications.
- Experience with monitoring Microsoft Teams, Co-pilot, and M365.
- Experience in Major Incident Management.
- Business acumen is a plus.
