Job description

ATC is excited to offer an opportunity for an early-career Digital Design Engineer who is eager to build hands-on experience developing digital systems and circuit designs using advanced processors, DSPs, memory, and FPGA technologies. This role is ideal for recent graduates who want to grow their skills while contributing to real-world, high-impact sensing and processing systems as part of our Advanced Solutions Group.

In this role, you will gain end-to-end experience across the digital design lifecycle, including digital system definition; design, simulation, and verification of digital circuits; board-level design; and implementation of high-speed digital signal processing in FPGAs. You will also learn to perform signal-integrity and timing analyses, develop power budgets, and support designs through production, testing, and operational deployment in space and airborne environments.

You'll work closely with an experienced, multidisciplinary team of systems, electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, software, and firmware engineers, as well as manufacturing, quality assurance, and test teams. ATC places strong emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring new engineers receive guidance while being trusted with meaningful technical responsibilities.

Requirements

Basic qualifications include a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). While 1+ years of experience is preferred, ATC is willing to train motivated new graduates with strong fundamentals and a passion for learning. Exposure to FPGA design (>250 MHz), digital signal processing concepts (such as filters and signal algorithms), single-event effects (SEE) mitigation, and HDL-based simulation, synthesis, and hardware integration is a plus-but not required for the right candidate.

Candidates must be US citizens eligible for a Top-Secret US Government security clearance.
