We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible., As an AWS Lead Software Engineer-Full Stack/Java/SpringBoot/React at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking's Regulatory Technology team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives., * Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Advanced experience designing and building scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Advanced experience developing modern, responsive user interfaces using React
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, and infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systems
  • Proficiency across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including design, development, testing, and operational support
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and data-driven application design
  • Ability to define technical strategy, drive best practices, and influence engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of financial services, regulatory reporting concepts, and enterprise IT systems
  • Formal software engineering foundation with applied experience and expertise across modern technical domains (e.g., cloud, AI/ML)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with modern front-end technologies including JavaScript, Angular, or similar frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Event Bridge, Step Functions, Aurora, and CloudWatch
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and application development
  • Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot for productivity and code generation
  • Experience using Apache Airflow for workflow automation and pipeline management
  • Experience with Datadog for system monitoring, logging, and performance analysis
  • Familiarity with JPMorgan Chase tools (Jules/JET, GKP) and strong understanding of regulatory reporting within the financial services industry
