Job description
Validate ETL workflows, mappings, and data transformations * Perform source-to-target data validation * Write and execute SQL queries for data verification * Identify data quality issues and report defects * Perform regression, integration, and system testing * Validate data completeness, accuracy, and consistency * Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers * Prepare test cases, test plans, and test reports
Preferred Skills: * Experience with automation testing tools * Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform * Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau or Power BI * Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop or Spark
Requirements
Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse testing
· Be able to review logs and understand where failures are occurring · Be able to triage what is an USAA issue vs. BigEye * Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage * Strong SQL skills for data validation and query writing * Experience in validating source-to-target mappings * Knowledge of data migration and transformation testing * Experience with database systems like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL * Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) * Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
