Job description
As our Associate Data Engineer, you be developing data solutions to help solve business challenges. You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and digital focused business units.
To thrive in this role, experience in digital data platforms and web development languages as well as digital marketing platforms (e.g. Google, META, TikTok) is recommended. Development languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS are core languages we utilize. Be prepared to share an example of how you design and develop a solution to a business problem.
What You'll Do
- Work on designing and developing solutions to support our digital data technology challenges and needs. Our team's success isn't just implementing the code but seeing that the data solutions we develop enable stakeholders to gain insights and have the necessary tools to accomplish their goals.
- Ask questions and do quality testing to understand if the solution meets the objectives of the business or the goal we set for the business. You will work side-by-side with the business to make sure it works as expected, not just as designed.
- Work with digital SaaS platforms and tools such as Tealium, Adobe Analytics and Target, Google Marketing Cloud, and META
- Partner with stakeholders and review solutions to check for quality and completeness of the solution for the business problem. Clearly communicate solutions to business owners.
- Consistently learn and find ways to improve self and team
Requirements
- To thrive in this role, having a passion for problem-solving and developing tangible solutions is recommended.
- Being proficient with JavaScript, REACT, HTML, and CSS is a must
- Experience with tag management solutions such as Tealium, Adobe Launch, or Google Tag Manager is preferred
- Experience in digital marketing platforms such as Adobe Marketing Platform, Google Marketing Platform, and META from a data tracking perspective is recommended
- Exposure to web analytics and reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics 4 is ideal
- Understanding of QA processes and/or automated validation tools
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, and seeks clarification early when requirements are unclear
- Takes ownership of implementation accuracy, including taking initiative to debug and validate across various scenarios
- Be proficient in documentation practices
- Understanding of website architecture, including experience with web inspector utilization for front-end troubleshooting
- Worked with testing tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, and Unbounce
- Experience working in digital marketing is preferred.
- Experience with data management and reporting preferrable.
- A willingness to collaborate. Our best work is done when we work together - either with non-technical or technical leads. You should be interested in learning from others regardless of their role in the organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively technically as well as broadly.
- You have worked previously with an Agile team or understand these concepts. Expect to participate in daily standup meetings, you'll complete your projects or stories during our sprints, and you'll be ready to meet frequent deployment deadlines.
Benefits & conditions
$86,100.00 - $115,000.00
Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
