Job description

The Repair & Lab Technician, Level 1 works from the client's corporate office, supporting the client's ssuite of product and service offerings - including the inteleTABLET solution - through the intake, basic repair, and deployment readiness of hardware devices used at client facilities. Under direct supervision, this entry-level role performs damage assessment, routine diagnostics, device setup, and field preparation across a range of devices including phones, tablets, kiosks, and charging stations., * Intake and inspect broken or damaged devices; perform basic diagnostic tests to identify issues and apply corrective action under the guidance of senior technicians.

  • Assist with device configurations in preparation for product and service installation at client facilities, following step-by-step direction from the Technical Support and infrastructure teams.

  • Ensure required software, applications, and security measures are installed and validated prior to device re-deployment; utilize mobile device management (MDM) software under supervision to verify and clear device information.

  • Maintain accurate records of device damage, repair activity, and parts usage using the approved inventory management software.

  • Support parts inventory organization and communicate supply needs to the Technical Support Manager or more experienced technicians.

  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to assist with device preparation, testing, and problem resolution.

  • Assist with other duties and tasks related to in-field devices as directed., * Devices are accurately inspected, logged, and prepared for repair or configuration under supervision.

  • All service and repair activity is documented completely and on time in approved systems.

  • Parts inventory records are kept current and organized.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Enrollment in or completion of a technical training program, Associate's degree, or equivalent coursework preferred

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in a technical, repair, or support role

  • Exposure to mobile devices, consumer electronics, or basic hardware repair a plus, * CompTIA A+ certification a plus; willingness to pursue certification required

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Fundamental knowledge of mobile device and hardware components

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and client systems

  • Good organizational habits and attention to detail

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and receptive to coaching and feedback

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team under direct supervision, Hardware, Repair, Troubleshooting, comptia a+
