The Senior Solution Advisor, with a focus on SAP Business Data Cloud (Analytics, Planning, Data Management), possesses advanced-level knowledge of SAP and participates in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team in support of the sales account strategy. A Presales Senior Specialist interacts with prospective customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, executive presentations, and follow-up discussions. The primary role during an active sales cycle is to demonstrate how SAP Business Data Cloud (Analytics, Planning, Data Management) and related services address the customer's needs and are the preferred choice over competitive offerings. During these cycles, they often take on the role of a Solution Captain. In addition to deal support, the specialist collaborates with sales, Industry/IVE teams, and Product/Engineering to plan and execute business development strategies and proven presales techniques., * Compose and deliver superior sales presentations and value-based demonstrations focused on SAP Business Data Cloud capabilities (Analytics, Planning, Data Management), SAP Analytics Cloud (planning & analytics), SAP Datasphere, SAP BW. Presentations must articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong positive impression with audiences, including senior executives.
- Prepare and deliver tailored, scenario-based demos and POCs (live and packaged) that highlight end-to-end value: data ingestion, modeling, governance, analytics, and planning workflows. Ensure demos are personalized to customer context and business outcomes.
- Conduct discovery sessions with customer stakeholders and technical teams to map the current landscape (SAP BW, on-prem or cloud, EDW, etc.) and identify the exemplary Business Data Cloud architecture and migration/consumption path.
- Demonstrate deep technical and industry knowledge across SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Planning, and BTP services (connectivity, data integration, security).
- Utilize customer success stories and compelling proof points to establish credibility.
- Support RFx/RFP responses and provide input to commercial proposals with technical assumptions, sizing, and effort drivers.
- Effectively present and engage with customers remotely using virtual collaboration tools and cloud demo environments.
- Leverage global/regional support teams (Solution Specialists, CoE, IVE, Deal Advisors, Product Management) to accelerate deal closure.
Demand Generation
- Support one-to-many events, webinars, and workshops (onsite and remote) that promote SAP Business Data Cloud offerings.
- Lead & support Design Thinking and discovery workshops to co-create analytics and planning solutions with customers and prospects.
- Collaborate with account and industry teams to identify whitespace and new use-cases for analytics, planning, and data platform modernization.
Sales Readiness
- Develop close relationships with sales teams to promote effective sales methodologies and ensure Business Data Cloud is embedded in account strategies.
- Participate in demo environment design, planning, and configuration; help maintain demo assets for repeatable use.

Requirements
- 3 years of presales experience, including customer-facing solution demonstrations.
- 3-5 years as a solution specialist or equivalent customer-facing role in Analytics, Planning, and Data Management.
- Proven hands-on experience and deep understanding of SAP BW (on-prem & cloud), SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (analytics & planning).
- Experience with data integration patterns, ETL/ELT, semantic layers, master data management, and data governance.
- Working knowledge of Databricks, Data Lake architectures, and modern data stacks is a strong plus.
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services (integration, connectivity, security, runtime) and cloud deployment models (SaaS, PaaS).
- Full working proficiency in German and Business English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus
