Job description
We are looking for an ICT Analyst to join a cross-functional Agile product team working on Gas Flow Management (GFM) solutions. These applications support the full lifecycle of gas flow operations, from customer onboarding and contracting to flow planning, billing, reporting, and B2B messaging.
You will play a key role in shaping digital solutions that support commercial operations and gas flow planning across multiple European Transmission System Operators. This position sits at the heart of the energy transition, contributing to the evolution of systems that will support future energy carriers such as hydrogen, biomethane, and CO .
Your mission:
- Contribute to the evolution of Gas Flow Management products across their full lifecycle
- Translate complex business needs into functional and scalable solutions
- Support regulatory compliance (Belgian & European frameworks) through system adaptations
- Enable the transition toward carbon-neutral energy systems by preparing applications for new energy carriers
- Ensure high-quality delivery through testing, validation, and user support
- Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders in an Agile environment
Your activities:
- Analyze and deeply understand business and customer needs beyond initial requirements
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather and refine requirements
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and conceptual models (use cases, activity diagrams, information models) aligned with existing architecture
- Collaborate with product team members to refine user stories, estimate effort, and support sprint delivery
- Execute functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Deliver demos, user training, and clear documentation
- Handle service requests and production issues; propose continuous improvements
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and improvement of team practices
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups)
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex challenges
- Proven experience in functional/business analysis within Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS or similar)
- Experience with UML and BPMN modeling
- Proficiency with tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and Confluence
- Good knowledge of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries
- Experience with backlog and sprint management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (technical & non-technical audiences)
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, collaborative teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Fluent in English; good command of French or Dutch, with willingness to improve the other
