Job description
We are an international parcel logistics company expanding our last-mile delivery network in Switzerland. We are looking for an experienced Last Mile DSP & Delivery Partner Network Manager to help us build, onboard, and manage a reliable local delivery partner network.
This role is not a general sales position and not a simple driver recruitment role. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in parcel delivery, subcontractor management, delivery partner development, transport partner management, courier operations, or last-mile logistics.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in or with established parcel delivery companies, postal operators, courier networks, transport companies, e-commerce logistics providers, or outsourced delivery fleet operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying qualified local delivery partners, evaluating their operational capability, negotiating cooperation terms, supporting pilot launches, and ensuring long-term service performance.
Key Responsibilities
DSP / Delivery Partner Network Development

Identify and develop local DSPs, courier companies, van fleets, subcontractors, and transport partners across Switzerland.

Build a structured pipeline of qualified delivery partners by region, postal code area, fleet size, delivery capacity, and operational coverage.

Conduct outreach, meetings, site visits, and capability checks with potential partners.

Evaluate whether potential partners are suitable for B2C parcel delivery operations.

Develop regional partner coverage for Zürich, German-speaking Switzerland, and other priority areas.
Partner Qualification and Onboarding

Assess partner capability, including vehicles, drivers, insurance, company registration, operational experience, delivery coverage, and backup capacity.

Support the partner onboarding process, including document collection, commercial negotiation, system access, SOP training, and pilot preparation.

Coordinate with internal operations teams to launch pilot delivery areas.

Ensure partners understand delivery SOPs, scanning requirements, customer service expectations, proof-of-delivery requirements, and SLA obligations.

Help establish a repeatable onboarding process for future delivery partners.
Commercial and Network Planning

Support pricing discussions with delivery partners based on parcel volume, route density, delivery area, failed delivery rate, service requirements, and operational cost.

Help design regional delivery coverage by canton, city, depot, and postal code area.

Recommend the best partner allocation model for each area.

Build a scalable partner network that can support future parcel volume growth.

Identify backup partner capacity to reduce operational risk during peak periods or service disruptions.
Performance Management

Monitor DSP / delivery partner performance, including on-time delivery, delivery success rate, exception rate, customer complaints, scan compliance, and failed delivery reasons.

Identify underperforming partners and drive corrective actions.

Support regular performance reviews with delivery partners.

Recommend partner replacement, volume adjustment, area split, additional training, or backup capacity when necessary.

Help maintain stable service quality during volume growth.
Risk and Compliance Control

Identify operational, commercial, legal, and service risks in the delivery partner network.

Prevent over-reliance on one partner or uncontrolled subcontracting.

Ensure delivery partners meet basic compliance requirements, including company registration, insurance, vehicle suitability, operational accountability, and service capability.

Maintain accurate records of partner contacts, contracts, pricing, coverage, performance, and risk level.

Support internal reporting on partner network status, launch readiness, and operational risk., You understand that a successful delivery partner network is not only about signing partners. It is about building reliable coverage, stable service quality, controllable cost, and long-term operational accountability.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Management?, Must-Have Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in parcel delivery, courier operations, transport operations, last-mile logistics, or delivery network management.

At least 2 years of experience managing subcontractors, DSPs, delivery partners, transport partners, courier companies, or outsourced delivery fleets.

Strong understanding of last-mile delivery operations, including depot handover, route planning, driver capacity, failed delivery, claims, proof of delivery, exception handling, and SLA management.

Proven ability to build, manage, or improve a local delivery partner network.

Experience working with small and medium-sized transport companies, van fleets, courier companies, or independent delivery contractors.

Ability to conduct field visits, partner meetings, and operational inspections.

Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent English and German.

Swiss German is a strong advantage.

Local market knowledge in Switzerland is highly preferred.

You are comfortable speaking with company owners, depot managers, transport partners, fleet operators, drivers, and internal operations teams. You can work independently in the field and also report clearly with structured data.
