Job description
As an AI Integration Engineer (m/f/d), you will be a key contributor to our AI and perception stack, bringing advanced computer vision and sensor processing capabilities onto real-world unmanned systems. At Quantum Systems, we build intelligent aerial, sea and ground-based platforms that operate under real constraints - where performance, reliability, and seamless integration are critical.
Working closely with our AI/Computer Vision team, as well as experts from flight testing, ground control, embedded software, and electronics, you will take ownership of integrating and optimizing AI-driven functionality across the full system. This is not a purely algorithmic role-you will bridge the gap between models and deployment, ensuring they run efficiently on embedded hardware and interact reliably with sensors, gimbals, and control systems.
In a fast-scaling, engineering-driven environment, you will play an active role in turning prototypes into robust, field-ready capabilities, contributing directly to our mission of transforming decision-making through autonomous, data-driven unmanned systems.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
- Integrate AI and computer vision components into embedded platforms (NVIDIA Jetson).
- Develop high-performance C++ software for real-time and near real-time applications.
- Build and maintain interfaces between sensors, gimbals, and control systems.
- Design and optimize low-latency networking pipelines (UDP/TCP).
- Work with ROS2 to orchestrate distributed robotic components.
- Develop and optimize video pipelines (GStreamer).
- Deploy, debug, and optimize software directly on embedded Linux systems.
- Analyze and improve system performance (latency, throughput, resource usage).
- Bring features from prototype (PoC/MVP) to robust, production-ready implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless system integration in real-world environments., * We believe in the power of combined efforts: straightforward tech expertise paired with a customer-centric focus.
- We are industry pioneers who are ambitious, bold, and visionary.
- We push limits, think outside-the-box and strive for technological excellence to shape the future of aerial data.
- We promise to be your runway for individual and professional growth.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TCP?, * Strong, hands-on expertise in modern C++ (C++17/20+), including performance-critical and multithreaded systems.
- Solid experience developing on embedded GPU platforms (NVIDIA Jetson).
- Strong background in embedded Linux environments (Yocto or comparable systems).
- Experience working with ROS2 in non-trivial or production-like systems.
- Good understanding of networking (UDP/TCP) and low-latency communication.
- Hands-on experience with GStreamer or comparable video streaming pipelines.
- Ability to analyze, debug, and optimize system-level performance on real hardware.
- Experience bringing systems from prototype to production.
- Familiarity with Docker-based workflows.
