Job description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work at the heart and on the foundations of Enpal's renewable solutions: you will be responsible for providing scalable, resilient, secure, and easy-to-use Cloud infrastructure and tools to development teams to help them develop and operate their building blocks of our intelligent energy management solution efficiently.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

reviewing and constantly improving of our current Cloud infrastructure by keeping an eye on latest developments at major Cloud providers

applying monitoring solutions and Cloud native application protection platforms for ensuring operation of our Cloud based platform at highest quality and security levels

focusing on Developer Experience (DevEx) to make sure the Cloud platform we provide is easy to use by development teams so that they can focus on their core tasks and can rely on a solid foundation for the components they build

building an industry leading Cloud native solution. Delivering and operating impactful solutions to our customers requires a best-in-class Cloud native runtime, operated at highest standards. Take your part in shaping that platform, continuously improve our current solution by contributing your skills, follow developments in the industry and apply new technology as appropriate to evolve our solution.

improving developer happiness. Nobody wants to stay up until midnight to deploy new solutions, or run the same regression tests manually day in, day out. We're about improving stability, automating as much as we can including load tests and vulnerability scans.

working on architecture & vision. We are fusing old and new technologies; cloud-native microservices, IoT applications, a Salesforce backbone, an event-driven architecture. This means we analyze new requirements critically to see which moving parts would have to change, explore opportunities to solve organization-spanning challenges with elegant architectural solutions.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, We are looking for roughly a 50% fit with for what we ask. The other 50% is a surprise to us, it is the magic you bring to the table and the diversity in which you make us grow.
- 2 years of experience in Azure cloud development and operations.
- Experienced with building high-available and resilient Cloud infrastructure; multi-region replication and failover automation is part of your day-to-day working habit.
- Excel Cloud operations based on monitoring, alerting and automated incident management, helping to resolve issues before the surface to internal and external customers. Experience with Datadog is a plus.
- Feel at home with technologies like Docker and Kubernetes and you know how to use them at scale.
- Experienced with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, ideally Terraform, and you know to leverage them to make your life easier but also how to teach and enable others to use them.
- Experience in CI/CD solutions, ideally Azure DevOps, and know to use them to drive deployments to our target Cloud environment or integrate with third party solutions.
- Familiar with clean code solutions such as Sonarcloud, and you know how to integrate them into efficient end-to-end development processes.
- Understand and have implemented shift-left security strategies, and you know tools and services that help you detect and mitigate security issues early in the development process.
