Job description
The Head of eCommerce will own the strategic and commercial relationship across a portfolio of retained client accounts. You'll be the senior operator clients turn to for trading direction, growth planning, and cross-channel orchestration. You'll lead an eCommerce Manager and work alongside specialist channel leads (CRM, Paid, SEO, Dev, Strategy)., Client LeadershipOwn senior relationships across 6-7 retainer accountsLead weekly trading calls, monthly reviews & quarterly business reviewsTranslate client goals into integrated, cross-channel strategiesIdentify and convert account growth opportunities Trading & Commercial PerformanceOwn trading cadence (reporting, forecasting, promos, peak trading)Drive core KPIs: revenue, AOV, CVR, margin & retentionBuild forecasts, models & performance frameworks per accountDeliver consistent, insight-led reporting across all clients Cross-Channel DeliveryCoordinate CRM, paid media, SEO, CRO & development teamsEnsure all output is commercially aligned and client-readyBrief creative, site & CRM work with clear performance focusIdentify funnel opportunities, risks & optimisation priorities Team LeadershipManage and develop an eCommerce ManagerSet standards, quality bar & ways of working across accountsContribute to wider agency best practice Commercial GrowthDrive organic growth within existing accountsSupport new business pitches & onboardingContribute to service development & commercial strategy
Requirements
6+ years in eCommerce, ideally have spent the last 3 years in a senior client-facing or trading lead role. Agency, multi-brand DTC, or eCommerce consultancy background strongly preferred. Strong commercial fluency: comfortable with P&Ls, contribution margin, LTV, CAC, payback, and forecasting. Working knowledge across all major channels: CRM (ideally Klaviyo & Attentive), paid social, paid search, SEO, CRO, and Shopify/BigCommerce. Demonstrable track record of growing accounts and managing senior client stakeholders. Comfortable in data: GA4, Looker, Shopify analytics, Klaviyo, Meta and Google Ads platforms. Bonus: SQL, BigQuery, Windsor.ai, or similar. Confident running trading calls, QBRs, and senior client conversations. Excellent written and verbal communication.
