Job description

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who thrives in one of the hardest environments in business: legacy supply chains, enterprise customers, startup speed, and chaotic real-world operations. At Vorto, engineers are builder-owners who turn messy, ambiguous problems into automated, scalable systems that transform how freight moves across America.

You'll work across the stack to design, build, and operate mission-critical services - embedding AI agents, stabilizing and scaling high-volume systems, and automating workflows that eliminate manual work. Successful engineers here move with 10× speed, recover quickly, understand fundamentals deeply, and own outcomes end-to-end. If you want to build world-class systems, solve real-world complexity, and operate at the intersection of AI and logistics, this role is for you.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, build, and operate services and UIs used daily by shippers, carriers, and drivers.
  • Embed AI/LLMs (Vertex AI, open-source models, agentic tools) to automate decision-making and supercharge developer productivity.
  • Stabilize back end services
  • Own problems end-to-end

What You'll Work With

  • Backend: Golang, Python, Postgres, Redis
  • Frontend: TypeScript, Angular (v13+), Vue 3 / SvelteKit
  • Infra: GCP, * Autonomy with accountability - a small, mission-focused squad owns features from concept to customer value.
  • AI-accelerated development - Copilot, Cursor, and our own agentic tools are part of the standard toolkit.
  • Continuous delivery mindset - we ship daily, sometimes multiple times a day. We love dark launching and aren't afraid of hotfixes or rollbacks

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems at scale.
  • Strong background in component-driven front-end engineering (Angular, Vue, React, or Svelte) and modern UX patterns.
  • Fluency with SQL schema design and data modeling for transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage LLMs/AI agents to boost velocity and solve novel problems.
  • Superior product reasoning skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to align technical decisions with business outcomes.
  • Nice-to-haves
  • Proven track record of owning problems end to end
  • Experience stabilizing and scaling large code bases
