Core Application Development Team: The core application development team works on our main desktop applications: FlexTRADER EMS, FlexONE OEMS, and FlexOMS. This is a highly collaborative and rewarding area, which combines many business functions in one spot. While spending most of the time on development, we also help to resolve and fix issues in client setups and support our client services team. This is a hybrid role requiring in person work 4 days per week in our Great Neck or NYC offices with one flexible remote day. What will you be doing: As a member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions in the FlexTRADER EMS, FlexONE OEMS, and Sell Side FlexOMS products Work closely with client services and implementation teams to provide new features and fixes to clients Resolve the complex technical issues and challenges of a multi-asset trading application both independently and in close collaboration with your team Provide guidance and documentation on product features and technical specifications You will spend most of your time working on the underlying implementation of the front end with infrequent excursions into GUI work. Requirements
Proficiency in C++ programming (cross platform Windows/Linux) with knowledge of the advantageous features of the C++17 and C++20 standards Solid algorithm, data structure, and system design fundamentals with a good understanding of software engineering principles Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Detail oriented and willing to grow into taking ownership of parts of the product Good attitude and appetite to learn and grow Nice to haves: Experience with debugging tools on both Linux and Windows Experience working with C++ GUI frameworks like GTK or Qt Experience working on networking stacks in C or C++ Comfortable working in and maintaining large and legacy codebases Experience with event-driven architectures and system design, Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics OR Equivalent non-academic qualifications (work experience or independent learning)
