Job description
We are representing a global manufacturing organization known for delivering highly engineered electrical and protection solutions. Their complex production environment requires a responsive and knowledgeable IT support presence. We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support, resolve end-user issues, and maintain smooth IT operations across the facility.
In this role, you will support end-users, production teams, and IT leadership within a dynamic manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot issues that impact systems, equipment, and operations while working closely with senior IT professionals to ensure timely and accurate problem resolution., There will be a Walk-UP Support Kiosk, and as an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving technical issues, supporting operational needs, and contributing to IT process improvements. Your work will ensure reliable system performance across a fast-paced production environment., * Address assigned IT issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Escalate and collaborate with Senior Support Specialists on advanced technical tasks.
- Work with leadership to understand IT Support customer needs, processes, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, and network issues.
- Take ownership of tickets and drive timely resolutions in alignment with SLAs.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve end-user technical problems.
- Provide remote support using standard enterprise support tools.
- Coordinate with internal teams and management to expedite issue resolution.
- Accurately document troubleshooting steps, issue details, and resolutions.
- Develop and submit knowledge base articles for review.
- Participate in on-call support during non-business hours as needed.
- Support IT projects and other assigned tasks within the environment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in iOS?, * 3+ years supporting Windows and iOS environments in large enterprises.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, iOS, and device management.
- Experience with SCCM, Azure AD, Active Directory, and O365 administration.
- Working knowledge of disk imaging and PXE booting through SCCM.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs.
- Experience supporting deployment or changes to networking infrastructure.
- Ability to maintain accurate IT asset inventory.
- Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation habits.
- Motivated to continuously expand technical knowledge.
- Experience working with ticketing systems (Freshservice is a plus).
- Ability to meet the physical demands of supporting onsite manufacturing operations., * Experience supporting IT in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience contributing to IT knowledge base content.
- Familiarity with enterprise remote support tools and workflows.
