AI Developer

We are seeking a Senior AI Developer to drive AI-enabled software engineering practices while designing, building, and modernizing large-scale, cloud-native enterprise systems. This role requires a Senior-level engineer who actively leverages Generative AI coding assistants across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and applies strong engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and performance in high-availability, regulated environments. The position combines advanced Java and cloud development expertise with hands-on AI/ML implementation and system modernization experience., * AI-Assisted SDLC Execution: Expert, daily use of GenAI coding assistants to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, automation, and documentation with full ownership of output quality.

• Enterprise Java & Cloud Microservices: Design and development of high-throughput, highly available Java/Spring microservices in cloud environments.
• System Modernization & Transformation: Migration of legacy, monolithic systems to distributed, cloud-native architectures.
• Spec-Driven & Agentic Development: Translating low-level designs (APIs, data models, class diagrams) into structured specifications that guide AI-assisted implementation.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead engineers, influence architecture decisions, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Scripting, automation, and technical documentation

• Practical experience with GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code in IDE and CLI workflows
• Working knowledge of:

• Agentic workflows
• Prompt engineering and custom AI instructions
• Spec-driven development for AI-assisted delivery

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models such as GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, or PaLM
• Strong validation, security, and quality controls for AI-generated outputs

• Architecture: RESTful web services, microservices, distributed systems
• Scalability & Reliability: High-volume transaction processing, fault tolerance, resiliency patterns

Cloud, DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Containers and container orchestration
• CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery models
• Cloud platforms:

• Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and/or AWS or Google Cloud Platform

• Infrastructure-aware development and deployment practices

Data & Integration

• Experience with databases such as:

• MongoDB
• Aerospike
• PostgreSQL

• Messaging and streaming platforms (preferred):

• Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent

Modernization & Legacy Transformation

• Experience modernizing legacy platforms, including:

• Mainframe (Cobol/DB2) to Java-based distributed systems
• Monolithic architectures to microservices and cloud platforms

• Understanding of data migration, service decomposition, and backward compatibility strategies

Quality, Documentation & Process

• Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing strategies
• QA automation and quality-first engineering mindset
• Agile development methodologies
• Proficiency in:

• Architectural and design documentation
• Visio diagrams, functional and technical specifications

• Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Domain & Communication

• Understanding of broker-dealer or financial services systems and operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with architects, product, and platform teams
• Bias for action and execution in complex technical environments, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML implementation in production environments
• 6+ years of cloud, microservices, and CI/CD experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $86.00 - $90.00/hr.
