Job description

Seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA SME to manage enterprise transactional and NoSQL data platforms. The role involves SQL Server administration, performance tuning, HA/DR, database security, automation, cloud support, and production support for mission-critical applications., * Administer and support SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.

  • Manage OLTP transactional databases and optimize performance.
  • Configure HA/DR solutions including Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication.
  • Perform backup, recovery, patching, migration, and database upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, and performance issues.
  • Implement database security, encryption, and access controls.
  • Support NoSQL platforms such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Cosmos DB.
  • Automate DBA activities using T-SQL, PowerShell, and SQL Agent Jobs.
  • Support Azure SQL / AWS RDS environments.
  • Monitor database health, capacity, and availability.
  • Provide production support and participate in incident resolution.

  • SQL Server security and auditing
  • NoSQL database exposure
  • Cloud database experience (Azure/AWS)
  • Scripting and automation skills

Preferred

  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • DevOps/CI-CD exposure
  • Enterprise transactional systems experience
