You will be a part of the Systems Engineering Department and report to the Systems Engineering Manager responsible for the design, development, and testing of the next generation of Immunoassay and Clinical Chemistry Analyzers. These are groundbreaking medical devices that utilize robotics, machine learning and vision systems to deliver critical results for everything from COVID-19 antibodies to tumor markers. In the role of Senior Systems Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, you will have the opportunity to:

Work with fluidics, pneumatics, electrical motors, pressure sensors and vision systems on a software controlled medical diagnostic analyzer.

Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple product teams to define, manage and test system requirements.

Understand customer workflows and support hardware and software changes to make product usability and reliability improvements.

Work with cross-functional teams to quickly investigate and identify solutions for new product issues at customer sites.

Facilitate design FMEAs and use error analysis to drive system design quality.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 3+ years of experience within one of the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.

Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.

Strong verbal and written communications

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast paced, changing environment.

Familiarity with requirements management.
It would be a plus if you also possess:

Medical regulated experience or experience in a regulated environment

Experience utilizing software log files to investigate failures

Experience troubleshooting technical issues

Experience working with system requirements and dFMEAs
-
Experience working in a scrum/agile team or similar environment

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
