Job description

The IT Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and coordination of all information systems, telecommunications, and technology infrastructure at the Raising Cane's River Center. This position serves as a key liaison between the facility, all venders, and internal departments to ensure reliable and secure technology performance during both daily operations and live events. The IT Coordinator assists in maintaining and deploying audio/visual systems, network connections, digital signage, and communication systems while providing technical support to staff and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • IT Systems Coordination

  • Coordinate and provide technical support for facility IT systems, including computers, servers, network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and phone systems.

  • Work with all vendors and internal departments to resolve network or software issues, perform system updates, and maintain cybersecurity protocols.

  • Set up and maintain data and phone connections for offices and events, including Wi-Fi deployment for clients and guests.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT and telecommunications equipment; assist with ordering, repairs, and asset tracking.

  • Event Technology & Technical Services

  • Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of client-provided or in-house audio, video, lighting, and rigging systems.

  • Support event production teams by ensuring technology needs (AV, connectivity, lighting control, and communications) are met efficiently.

  • Maintain, test, and perform preventive maintenance on lighting, sound, video, rigging, and digital signage systems.

  • Serve as liaison for lighting control systems and coordinate service or repairs with third-party vendors.

  • Systems Administration & Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software applications.

  • Manage user access and permissions as directed by facility leadership.

  • Coordinate telephone and data service providers to align external services with internal requirements.

  • Provide user training and assist employees with MS Office applications and standard office technology.

  • Documentation & Communication

  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and event-related setups.

  • Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and clients to ensure technical readiness for events.

  • Assist with developing and implementing technology policies and procedures for the facility.

  • Other Duties

  • Respond to routine, precautionary, and emergency alarms from building automation and life safety systems.

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, and patrons.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, networking, and AV equipment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and basic networking concepts (IP addressing, cabling, routers, switches).

  • Working knowledge of lighting, sound, and video systems used in live events.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, organization, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working under pressure and within deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with operations and event staff.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum two (2) years of related IT support or technical operations experience, preferably in an entertainment, convention, or event facility environment.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and use of hands and arms.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced event facility environment with exposure to varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and heights during setup or maintenance.

  • Must be available for on-call IT or event support during major functions.
