Join Adobe's world-class team as a Fullstack Software Engineer in San Jose, CA, United States! This outstanding role provides the chance to create and develop scalable, high-performance web applications and content management digital platforms. You'll work with modern frontend development and cloud-native backend services, including Node.js microservices and AI-enabled integrations. What you'll Do
- Develop and sustain scalable web applications and digital platforms that support high-traffic environments.
- Develop reusable and modular frontend components employing modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Develop backend services using Node.js to support APIs, integrations, and middleware services.
- Build and manage DynamoDB schemas and data models to support scalable serverless architectures.
- Develop and sustain AWS Lambda functions and event-driven workflows.
- Collaborate with AWS cloud services and enterprise stacks like AWS Ethos, ensuring scalable and secure service integrations.
- Optimize websites and services for performance, accessibility, SEO, and user engagement.
- Integrate and coordinate RESTful APIs and services outlined using OpenAPI specifications.
- Support AI-assisted workflows, including embedding generation, vector search, and intelligent content retrieval.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for cloud and AI-enabled systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR Web Development Diploma (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS.
- Experience working with contemporary frontend frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Experience building Node.js backend services or APIs.
- Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, such as Lambda and DynamoDB.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile or collaborative team environments.
- Preferred qualifications: Experience working with enterprise CMS platforms (AEM, Strapi, or comparable headless CMS), serverless systems on AWS, AI/LLM technologies like AWS Bedrock, and vector databases or semantic search systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $114,100 -- $214,950 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California, the pay range for this position is $148,500 - $214,950
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
