Job description

Advantech GS Enterprises is seeking a Data Cloud Engineer with expertise in cloud-based data architecture, security compliance, and analytics to support the DISA NEXUS program at Fort Meade. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and secure cloud-enabled data solutions within Azure and AWS, leveraging best practices in data management, automation, and DoD compliance., * Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes across Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

  • Develop and optimize data models, data lakes, and data warehouses to support mission analytics and reporting.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple systems into centralized, secure repositories.
  • Collaborate with cloud and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD STIGs, RMF, and FedRAMP standards.
  • Implement and enforce data governance, integrity, and access controls across the cloud data environment.
  • Work extensively with Oracle databases, including data extraction, transformation, and migration into cloud environments.
  • Utilize tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Databricks, SQL, and Power BI for data orchestration and analytics.
  • Monitor and enhance data performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Support ongoing cloud modernization efforts and provide technical expertise for data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or cloud data solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud data services (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Synapse, etc.)
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data manipulation and automation
