Job description
deep expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure hybrid-cloud services, and enterprise datacenter engineering. This is a hands-on SME role supporting a large, segmented, multi-forest environment., * Engineer, design, and administer Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS/DHCP, PKI, ADFS, MFA, and hybrid identity services.
- Support and optimize a global hybrid-cloud datacenter spanning Azure and on-prem environments.
- Lead technical design sessions, architecture reviews, documentation, and standards development.
- Oversee configuration, patching, upgrades, system refreshes, and lifecycle management (N-1).
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across distributed global environments.
- Integrate on-prem systems with Azure SaaS platforms.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Application teams; interface with vendors.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years Active Directory engineering in large enterprise environments; 2+ years Azure AD/Entra ID.
- Strong experience with DNS/DHCP, PKI, PAM/HSM/Key Vault, and hybrid identity.
- PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Azure cloud services, Windows Server (2012-2022), Office 365, Exchange Online.
- Datacenter virtualization: Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Azure Stack.
- Linux (SUSE/RHEL) experience preferred.
- Backup/DR technologies: Commvault, Azure Site Recovery, SAN storage (Cisco MDS, Dell/EMC PowerMax).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git, Puppet, Chef, Ansible Tower).
- ITIL experience preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
