Job description
Lead the implementation and configuration of the Payroll module within CGI Advantage ERP, serving as the functional lead on large and complex projects
. Facilitate payroll-focused discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and fit-gap analysis with client stakeholders
. Configure payroll components including earnings, deductions, tax structures, accrual integrations, retroactivity, and compliance controls
. Support integration across HRM modules such as Time & Leave, Position Control, Personnel, and Benefits as required by project scope
. Guide clients through payroll process design, internal controls, reconciliation strategies, and audit-readiness practices
. Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including system, integration, and parallel payroll testing cycles
. Analyze impacts of configuration changes on downstream financial and HR processes
. Provide clear, executive-level status updates and manage stakeholder expectations throughout implementation
. Identify risks, recommend process improvements, and drive best practices across payroll operations
. Contribute to continuous improvement of implementation methodology and mentor junior team members
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
. 7-10 years of hands-on experience implementing or configuring enterprise ERP Payroll systems
. Strong functional expertise in payroll processing, taxation, benefits and deduction integration, compliance requirements, and reporting
. Experience leading payroll-focused ERP implementations from design through go-live
. Demonstrated ability to perform fit-gap analysis and align business requirements with baseline ERP capabilities
. Understanding of complex payroll environments, including multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional, or highly regulated structures
. Experience working within comprehensive HRIS/ERP platforms with integrated payroll and human capital management modules
. Proven experience developing and executing detailed test plans, including parallel payroll validation
. Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid implementation methodologies
. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage functional users, payroll administrators, IT teams, and executive leadership
. Ability to manage multiple workstreams in deadline-driven project environments
. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed

. Experience with large-scale, public sector ERP deployments

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $198,400.00.
