Your Job
This hands-on technical lead role is critical to the design, development, and operation of AI-powered applications-primarily computer vision-deployed across more than 100 manufacturing facilities. This team creates sustainable value and competitive advantage by leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and actionable insights across the enterprise, with a strong focus on manufacturing outcomes and future-forward innovation. The role works closely with data scientists, product partners, and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable, real-world AI solutions.
What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of scalable data pipelines, machine learning models, and AI-enabled applications.
- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for cloud and edge-based AI solutions.
- Build and operate scalable orchestration across cloud and distributed edge clusters (Kubernetes/EKS).
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to launch new AI products and evolve existing capabilities.
- Write high-quality, production-grade code using modern AI and analytics technologies.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on technical leadership.
- Proactively identify technical debt and implement improvements to accelerate product iteration.
- Establish and uphold best practices for system design, reliability, and performance.
- Manage personal learning while contributing to the technical growth of the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building and operating distributed software systems, including experience leading technical design and delivery.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Docker, Bash scripting, and additional programming languages.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, and IAM.
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and/or AWS ECS.
- Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka, NATS, MQTT, or similar platforms.
- Experience using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with edge computing architectures and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience deploying and operating applications on edge devices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
