Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Information Technology Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff, ensuring that all IT systems and equipment function efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques, along with excellent communication skills to effectively assist users in resolving their IT issues., * Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all computers, printers, network devices, telephony, and audio-visual equipment.

  • Provide level 1, 2 and 3 technical support through the Service Desk and resolve all technical issues including network related problems.
  • Install and configure software, hardware, cabling desktop operating systems and other computer-related technologies.
  • Diagnose computer problems in the District. Repair hardware and software problems, work with service contractors as required, or take other steps to have the problem resolved.
  • Work with the Network Services Division on troubleshooting network issues and to assist in projects and management of the networks.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of computer materials and supplies through the District warehouse and the ITS Department.
  • Prepare, track and maintain a trouble log of all work performed via the service desk system.
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT related hardware in the building.
  • Work with other Technology Department staff to troubleshoot any technology issues.
  • Assist in building and maintaining software images for deployment.
  • Function as a backup to other IT roles as needed.
  • Remain abreast of new developments in technology by participating in continuing education programs/conferences, and reviewing literature and periodicals.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in macOS?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's degree in computer related field or 2 years' experience with PC/Network support.

  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified) are a plus. If not, must be able to become certifeied within 1 year
  • Valid drivers' license required
