5GC Characteristics System Manager

We develop the world's fastest 5G & 6G core network. Securing product characteristics is of utmost importance and a key parameter for our products' success! We are now looking one expert system engineer working within the PCG Characteristics and Capacity area. What you will do As a system manager you will work with studies, requirements, following up on product performance, creating and maintaining dimensioning models to support the sales process and analyze data from customer deployments, in order to support customers. The role will provide a broad interface to other functions in the company, working with an end-to-end perspective. The job includes

• Creating dimensioning models for PCG Packet Core product to support the sales process
• Driving and participating in technical studies in the Characteristics area
• Defining requirements for Capacity and Characteristics of the product
• Supporting and guiding development teams in the characteristics' area
• Setting strategies for continuous improvements of the product characteristics
• Designing tools and solutions for analysis of test and customer data
• Advise on customer deployment dimensioning by receiving and analyzing customer data. Make recommendations to product development based on customer findings.
• Working together with other parts of Ericsson to secure the end-to-end performance.

• High technical competence in PCG, able to understand and define complete system behavior, functional and non-functional.
• Understanding of EPG
• Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field related to Computer Science, Mathematics or Data Science
• Interest and competence in mathematics, data processing, statistical analysis
• Strong collaboration skills, to work together within and outside the team.
• Good ability to present your results verbally and in presentations.
• Excellent ability to communicate in English, spoken and written.
• Understanding of product characteristics data, and an interest and curiosity in how to improve the feedback loop to create outstanding products.
• Telecommunication Industry Experience (preferred) or experience from other large, embedded software products
• Experience from system design / requirement work is a merit.
• Knowledge in cloud infrastructure, K8s and how to build capacity efficient applications running on 3rd party cloud systems.
