Job description
- Run, drive and coordinate Next Gen turbine designs
- Build new turbine topology Simpack models and run associated loads and AEP simulations and optimizations for platform evolutions and new turbine designs
- Run new blade conceptual designs
- Run cost estimates, transportability and installability assessments
- Summarize findings within value and risk assessments
- Support the Conceptual design methods and tools development across all fidelity levels … from derivatives to unsteady full degree of freedom multibody simulation
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Experience in wind turbine systems design, first level loads and value trade-off studies
- Understanding of numerical modelling of wind turbines
- Experience in aero-elastic simulations (e.g. Hawc2, Simpack, Bladed)
- Programming skills (Python, Matlab, C++)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, solid network within the wind engineering organization, ability to easily connect across teams and disciplines, * Experience in engineering software development (Python)
- Solid technical knowledge of GE Vernova Wind platforms including main subsystems features and limitations
- Project management experience
