Job description

  • Run, drive and coordinate Next Gen turbine designs
  • Build new turbine topology Simpack models and run associated loads and AEP simulations and optimizations for platform evolutions and new turbine designs
  • Run new blade conceptual designs
  • Run cost estimates, transportability and installability assessments
  • Summarize findings within value and risk assessments
  • Support the Conceptual design methods and tools development across all fidelity levels … from derivatives to unsteady full degree of freedom multibody simulation

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in wind turbine systems design, first level loads and value trade-off studies
  • Understanding of numerical modelling of wind turbines
  • Experience in aero-elastic simulations (e.g. Hawc2, Simpack, Bladed)
  • Programming skills (Python, Matlab, C++)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, solid network within the wind engineering organization, ability to easily connect across teams and disciplines, * Experience in engineering software development (Python)
  • Solid technical knowledge of GE Vernova Wind platforms including main subsystems features and limitations
  • Project management experience
