Job description
Our client seeks a Technical Solution Architect within the procurement domain to design and oversee end-to-end solutions across Source-to-Pay, supplier management, and analytics. The role will define integration between procurement platforms and ERP systems, with a focus on data movement, APIs, and data mapping. The architect will stay hands-on during implementation, mentor development teams, and drive process streamlining to improve supplier master data quality and spend analytics., * Define and own technical architecture for S2P, P2P, CLM, and SRM platforms.
- Design integration patterns between procurement tools, ERP systems, and third-party platforms.
- Develop reference architectures, solution blueprints, and technical roadmaps aligned to business strategy.
- Evaluate build versus buy and lead vendor and technology selection.
- Ensure security, compliance, scalability, and performance in solution designs.
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT to capture requirements and define scope.
- Lead solution workshops, RFP and RFI responses, and architecture review boards.
- Translate technical concepts for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical governance and adherence to approved architecture during delivery.
- Review and approve detailed designs, data models, API specifications, and integrations.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps to resolve risks and blockers.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide sign-offs at key milestones.
- Design procurement data models, KPIs, and reporting frameworks for spend and compliance.
- Drive data governance and master data management practices in procurement.
- Architect AI and ML solutions for spend classification, forecasting, and supplier risk scoring.
- Develop best practices, standards, and reusable solution patterns for procurement.
- Mentor architects and technical leads and contribute to communities of practice.
- Engage hands-on with implementation through code reviews, logic validation, and debugging.
- Document current procurement processes, identify gaps, and define future-state processes.
- Design and oversee integration with PeopleSoft Financials for procurement workflows.
Requirements

- Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and supplier management.
- Expertise in systems integration with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or PeopleSoft Financials.
- Strong background in data movement, API architecture, and cross-system data mapping.
- Experience leading architecture governance, workshops, and stakeholder alignment.
- Ability to develop technical roadmaps, reference architectures, and solution blueprints.
- Demonstrated capability to mentor engineering teams and review designs and code.
- Experience building procurement analytics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
- Background implementing data governance and MDM in procurement contexts.
- Experience with AI and ML approaches for procurement analytics and risk.
- Vendor selection and build versus buy decision experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Technology Management (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- TOGAF 9.2 or higher (preferred).
- SAP Certified Application Associate - Procurement or MM (preferred).
- Coupa, Ariba, or Jaggaer platform certifications (preferred).
- AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect certification (preferred).
- CPSM - Certified Professional in Supply Management (preferred).
- PMP or SAFe Agilist (preferred).
- Supplier spend analytics (preferred).
- Experience with DUNS-based supplier identity and credit verification integrations (preferred).
- Experience with Coupa, Ariba, or Jaggaer platforms (preferred).
- Cloud solution architecture exposure on AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred).

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
