Cloud Architect Remote Diagnostics & Connected Services

Seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and modernization of cloud-based remote diagnostics platforms for connected products. This role focuses on transforming legacy systems into scalable, API-driven architectures, enabling advanced troubleshooting workflows, and supporting cloud-to-device communication for large fleets. Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Modernization: Define end-to-end architectures; modernize legacy systems into stateless, API-driven solutions; establish scalability and maintainability principles.
• Platform Integration: Architect unified diagnostics ecosystems; integrate enterprise apps via REST APIs, event-driven patterns, and asynchronous callbacks.
• Diagnostics Workflow Enablement: Design architectures for advanced troubleshooting, automation, and service-oriented models.
• IoT & Cloud-to-Device Communication: Define messaging-based communication; support remote diagnostics initiation, device state sync, and scalable onboarding.
• Scalability & Reliability: Architect high-volume, distributed deployments; ensure horizontal scalability, resiliency, monitoring, and observability.
• Cloud Leadership: Build solutions on AWS/Azure; leverage microservices, messaging, streaming, containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native scaling.
• Governance & Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as technical authority; collaborate with cross-functional teams; maintain architecture artifacts (system diagrams, logical/physical views, integration flows).

• 12 15+ years in cloud/distributed systems architecture.
• Proven experience in remote diagnostics, IoT, or connected platforms.
• Strong expertise in stateless APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and IoT/messaging models.
• Hands-on AWS/Azure architecture experience.
• Ability to integrate legacy systems into modern cloud platforms.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and architecture storytelling skills.
• Comfortable working across global, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to service-oriented diagnostic architectures.
• Experience with remote operations/lifecycle support platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise aftersales, service tools, or fleet platforms.
• Experience with multi-region, large-scale deployments.
