Job description
You will sit in a custom-built command center operating multiple software platforms across multiple monitors simultaneously. AI video analytics. Live camera feeds. Access control dashboards. Digital patrol management. Real-time dispatch. Think air traffic controller for an entire campus.
This role is equal parts dispatcher, customer service professional, and security technologist. You'll be the calm voice on the radio, the steady professional on the phone, and the clear-headed coordinator behind every incident response.
Every shift, you will:
- Verify AI-generated alerts in real time - weapon detection, behavior analytics, perimeter intrusion, facial recognition, fire and smoke detection
- Run dispatch operations - prioritize calls for service, dispatch tactical officers, manage multiple incidents simultaneously, coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services
- Deliver professional customer service - answer phones with poise, communicate clearly with St. Mary's leadership, residents, and outside agencies, and represent Calidad with the highest standards
- Coordinate with on-site Tactical Officers - you dispatch, they respond. Clear, calm, structured radio communication is everything
- Manage incident escalation, including direct coordination with law enforcement, fire, and EMS
- Produce executive reports and maintain campus-wide situational awareness
- Operate as the brain of the security operation - calm, sharp, and in control
Requirements
Do you have a valid Guard Card license?, Do you have experience in Phone communication?, * Valid California BSIS Guard Card in good standing
- Strong dispatch skills - ability to manage multiple radio channels, phone calls, and incidents at the same time without losing composure
- Excellent customer service skills - professional phone presence, clear written communication, and the ability to keep people calm under pressure
- Strong computer skills - you'll be operating multiple platforms across multiple monitors. If you're not comfortable with technology, this is not the role
- Dispatch or call center experience - 911, security dispatch, emergency communications, or equivalent coordination experience under pressure
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts (days, swings, overnights) in a 24/7 operation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strongly Preferred:
- Prior SOC, alarm monitoring, or remote guarding experience
- 911 dispatcher, EMS dispatcher, or emergency communications experience
- Customer service or call center leadership background
- Experience with VMS, AI analytics, or security platforms (IMMIX, Scylla, Milestone, Genetec, etc.)
- Military, law enforcement, or emergency services background
- De-escalation and trauma-informed response training
- Experience working in shelter, hospital, transit, or public service environments, * Dispatching: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Guard Card (Required)

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
